we arrived on Antelope Island shortly before an exceptionally wild wind storm

which nixed our plans to play on the beach of the great salt lake

so we toured the informative visitors center

and the kids were entertained by the novelty of winds strong enough to actually move them when they tried to stand still.

the cooks in a little "buffalo" burger joint let us in the kitchen door of their empty restaurant because the front entrance was wind-locked, And the kids were further amused by being allowed the run of the place.
