2 and 1/2

Today is Benjamin's 1/2 birthday.

Last summer his Nana & Pop gave him a Handy Manny toolbox.

Well, since our building trip in Mexico, Benjamin has really taken to his tools, after all, he watched a whole house go up with just a few basic tools...

So last week at the library I noticed a Handy Manny DVD, We had never seen a HM episode before so I checked it out and... Lo and behold... Handy Manny drives a little red truck just like ours! I was so delighted ( and Benjamin was too, but let's face it... ) that I was inspired to make him a little tool belt for his 1/2 birthday.

The belt is one I found in the river last summer, and the pouch I sewed on was a pocket on the little pants he wore in Mexico. Since they were covered in paint splatter and would be too small for him to wear next year. The pants had been sitting in limbo for a month because I hated to just throw them out, now he'll get to wear them next year after all!
